, Die gedig gaan oor ‘n tienerseun wat deur ‘n baie moeilike fase
in sy lewe gaan – puberteit. Hy hou nie van hoe hy lyk nie en
daarom wil hy nie met meisies praat nie, hy kruip agter sy kuif
weg, hy stap met ‘n afsakbroek en kan nie wag tot die tyd verby
is nie.
The poem describes a teenage boy in the adolescence phase of life. Physically he feels
awkward with his voice braking, facial hair growing, his legs and arms growing and his skin
full of acne. Because he feels awkward and embarrasses he does not talk to girls and slams
his door close while he waits for the awkward stage to pass.
