Description of Client
Hambrough Primary School is a state public school that provides educational services to young
students in their local area. Hambrough Primary is located in Southall, London, and Louise Singleton
has been the head teacher since 2010. According to the BBC, 78% of the students in Hambrough are
expected to meet the Level 4 boundary in English and Maths and only 29% for level 6.
For financial reasons, Hambrough has now allowed customers to hire their rooms/halls to increase
their cash inflow. Their rooms are usually booked for wedding ceremonies and other celebrations.
They also provide other Add-ons for a higher price, such as Wi-Fi, Cafeteria Area.
The head teacher of Hambrough Primary has approached me via email to create a bespoke
hall/room booking system. There are more than a total of 20 different rooms available to hire at this
high school of various sizes that contain different facilities. Therefore this system needs to be
capable of accurately booking in customers without the problem of double bookings. They would
like a system which allows customers to access and view their account, as well as most importantly
make reservations. The finance department will also need frequent updates on bookings as they will
need to add the inflow of cash to their forecast.

The reason I have contacted you today is that I require a program that will resolve a problem
currently at my school. As the head teacher of this school, I must ensure all staff is comfortable
with their work, however, due to a few changes; our receptionist is struggling to complete her
work. Therefore, I need you to create a program that will work on behalf of this teacher and
manage room bookings for this school.
Our receptionist had previously handled all bookings with a notepad and had documented all
bookings by hand. However, we have recently decided to increase the number of rooms for
bookings and have now become inconvenient to handle bookings without a computer.
