Dat is de opzet van dit werkboek.
Alle onderwerpen worden één voor één behandeld: eerste een korte, duidelijke uitleg van de
vuistregel, gevolgd door een oefening en/of linkjes om zelfstandig te kunnen oefenen.
Achterin staan de antwoorden (met uitleg) van de oefeningen in dit werkboek en de genoemde
linkjes zijn van sites die online gelijk nakijken. In de bijlage vind je een overzichtelijk schema van
de verschillende tijden.
Wanneer je zegt dat iets altijd, vaak, nooit of soms gebeurt, gebruik je de present simple.
Enkele signaalwoorden zijn: always, sometimes, never, usually, often, every day...
Bij I, you, we en they gebruik je het hele werkwoord.
Bij he, she en it (SHIT!) gebruik je het hele werkwoord +s
Eindigt het werkwoord op een “o” ( go, do) of op een s-klank (bijv. watch, fix, wash) dan
gebruik je bij he, she en it het hele werkwoord + es
Werkwoorden die eindigen op een medeklinker + y (bijv. fly, try, cry, study) krijgen ook bij
he, she en it + es maar let op! de “y” verandert in een “i” (bijv. she tries)
Het werkwoord “be” (zijn) en ook “have” (hebben) is helemaal anders. Die moet je uit je
hoofd kennen!

PRESENT CONTINUOUS = DE ING-VORM
Vuistregel: de Present Continuous gebruik je om aan te geven dat iets NU op dit moment gebeurt.
Deze vorm heet niet voor niks de ing-vorm: kijk maar hoe we het maken:
am/are/is + hele werkwoord + ing

She is listening
We are going on a summer holiday
Deze vorm bestaat dus uit 3 delen!!!
Het werkwoord (am/are/is) gevolgd door het werkwoord met -ing erachter:

verdubbeling van de allerlaatste letter:
