Course Rationale: (700 – 1000 words)
Here you need to include:
why you have chosen this syllabus type
why you have chosen the topic(s) covered
why you have chosen this target language/skill
the rationale behind the structure of the course, e.g. why is it in this order?
how the course will meet the learner’s needs
To me the multi syllables is choosing the proper syllables and it is critical to ensuring that
the instructional objectives are reached, and Alberto's goals are met. This is why I chose a
lesson plan with many syllables. Alberto stated that we would like to use original
materials and that he is interested in issues such as the environment, science, technology,
and current events. and that he needs to enhance his English skills to acquire a job. He
wants to enhance his conversational English not only for business but also for travel and
social situations.
A lesson plan with several syllables will enable me to use multiple platforms and keep
Alberto engaged by incorporating related collocations, phrases, and idioms with his
inherent incentives to improve his English. Alberto stated in the video interview that his
motive for learning English was to advance in his career as well as to speak English with
his friends and while traveling. Since travel is more important to Alberto than work, the
rest of the course plan focuses on work. I do, however, in both the requirement analysis
and the video interview, he made numerous references to job and employment. He
makes it obvious that this is his focus in the needs analysis. Pronunciation, speaking, and
listening are the student's focus skills since Alberto suffers with these abilities in the video
interview and because they are mentioned on the needs analysis questionnaire as being
crucial to him.
The target Skills are pronunciation, listening and speaking . The typical needs analysis
survey student is quite specific about the aptitudes he needs to develop to improve his
targeted skills and what a teacher will often focus on. Based on the necessary skills of the
students, we will implement all the criteria outlined in the curriculum for Alberto to
improve all the skills needed to be able to pronounce, listen and speak accurately.
The rationale behind the structure of the course will assist the instructor in ensuring that
the student is interacting with his second language in all areas that must be fulfilled, as
well as being able to be flexible with the curriculum as the student improves in all the
abilities required to address his shortcomings.
Listening and speaking small talk and casual conversations, By the end of the class, the
student will have improved his listening and speaking abilities by conversing with the
teacher after seeing a 10-minute film about one of his interests (technology). Student will
