- platte structuur, achter de trachea
- opgebouwd uit lagen:
o binnenste: mucosa (laag waar epitheel op zit en uitwisseling gebeurt)
o eronder: submucosa (bloedvaten en zenuwen aanwezig → uitwisseling kan
daar uiteindelijk plaatsvinden)
o buitenste: spierlaag
- kan samentrekken (= peristaltisch) om zo de inhoud door te stuwen
- komt door diafragma en gaat over in de maag (= gaster)
Maag / gaster
- fundus/koepel (bovenste gedeelte)
- corpus (grootste gedeelte)
o curvatura minor & curvatura major
- pars pilorus
- lagen: mucose – submucosa – spier (waarvan vezels oblique, transversaal
en longitudinaal gelegen zijn → in alle richtingen krachten uitoefenen)
➔ op einde van pars pilorus hebben we een sphincter (= sluitspier die de
maag aflsuit nr het duodenum)
