CORAZÓNEl corazón es el centro del ap. Circulatorio, funciona como doble bomba,
bombea la sangre hacia los pulmones, la oxigena y luego la bombea
hacia todos los tejidos del cuerpo.
,Ubicado: En el mediastino, entre ambos pulmones, por delante
de la columna dorsal (4ta a 8tva V. Torácica), por detrás del
plastón esternocostal y reposando por arriba del diafragma.

Es un órgano esencialmente muscular y hueco, globuloso, asimétrico, contráctil,
tabicado, valvulado y cavitado
• Presenta una forma de pirámide triangular, de base postero-derecha y un vértice
antero-izquierdo.
• Su Consistencia depende en que parte del ciclo cardiaco se encuentre: En Sístole es mas
Firme y en la Diástole menos.
• Su volumen y peso varia según la edad, el peso y la complexión física de cada individuo.
• Su peso promedio en el adulto es de: 270gr en Varón y 260gr en la Mujer. Aprox-
• Mide: 11cm. de ancho y unos 10 cm. de alto
• Su color es Rojizo en los bebes, en los Adultos es Rojo oscuro.
• Presenta unaEl eje general del corazón se acerca más a la horizontal que a la vertical
describiendo un ángulo aproximado de 45°. Esto depende de los diámetros de la caja
torácica.
• Configuración Externa: 3 Caras, 3 bordes, 1 base, 1 Vértice.
• Presenta una Configuración Interna: 2 Aurículas, 2 Ventrículos.
