HOOFSTUK 17 – HYPOTHESE TOETSENPARAGRAAF 1 – HYPOTHESES
Met een nulhypothese H0 is een bewering over een populatie. Het aannemen of
verwerpen van H0 doe je op grond van het resultaat van een steekproef. Als de bewering
niet juist is zal H0 worden verworpen en zal de alternatieve hypothese H1 worden
aangenomen. Het geldt dat H0 waar is totdat het tegendeel wordt bewezen.
De toetsingsgrootheid is wat in de steekproef gemeten of geteld wordt.

Fout van de eerste soort: Ho wordt ten onrechte verworpen
