SUMMARY
Lines 1-2: Teenage girl writes a very long letter to the mythological man
on the moon.
Lines 3 - 6: She rolls the letter up and places it in a protective quiver. She
binds the quiver to the arrow and shoots it high into the sky.
Lines 7 - 10: She sees how the arrow and letter sail into space – through the
stars and around the moon.
The letter travels further through space and becomes the
origin of a thousand other letters.
Lines 11 - 15: She wonders whether the man on the moon ever received his
post and whether someone else may read them all.
