Professional Goal Statement
I grew up in a farm surrounded by animals and I developed compassion, kindness

and the curiosity for helping creatures when sick at an early age. That is how I developed

passion for a career that dealt with healing but I made the choice to pursue nursing in

high school. I was a volunteer at local homeless shelter where I witnessed people in our

community suffering due to lack of access to healthcare services. The harsh conditions

that they lived in if there was no space in the shelter moved me. Additionally, there were

people who had children and there were individuals who were older, and this increased

their vulnerability to diseases such diabetes and malaria. To help them, I began to look

for free clinics that offered services to the community and that helped me develop my

passion for nursing and community health services.


My nursing career started in 2001 in a collage as a certified nursing assistant and

through the years, I have developed my skills both professionally and personally that
