NR 360 INFORMATION SYSTEMS IN HEALTH CARE
Quiz 2 NURSING INFORMATICS
Chapters 10, 11 & 12: Nursing Informatics and the Foundations

1. Essay: In a minimum of 175 words, how could collaboration and knowledge sharing at a single
organization be used to help individuals preparing for information technology at a different
facility?

When it comes to knowledge sharing and collaboration it is key for people joining information
technology at a different facility because It will help gather information and apply the new and the old
information together. It may help make information technology that much better. Exchanging ideas with
each individual can help prepare a new software information technology system at another facility. For
instance, when a new individual is integrated into a new health care facility and has previously worked
elsewhere in the healthcare industry. This person along with the organization he or she just joined can
collaborate and share knowledge to come up with a brand new software. With the new member adding
information he or she has seen that hasn’t worked along with what the new organization has seen, they
together can construct a new software with less glishes. For instance, if the new team remember has
experienced backlash from employees when adding shortcuts to the healthcare software and the new
organization wants to add shortcuts. The new team member can relay that information this way; they
don’t add shortcuts for employees on their new healthcare software. The new team member can share
what the feedback was of the old employees, to the new organization. This way there is proof as to why
the new organization shouldn’t add shortcuts to their new health care software system.
