Abstract
This article provides a description of the complexity of boredom and occurs as a direct result
from an inpatient case study. In addition to the description the consequences of boredom are
also briefly discussed. By investigating what environmental enrichment and evidence based
design entail, an attempt is made to provide patients in present-day hospitals a solution for
boredom and its associated consequences .
