organizations – the macro context.
Er bestaan 2 verschillende omgevingen:
Macro omgeving; - de dingen die je als organisatie overkomt, je hebt hier dan ook weinig invloed
op.
Micro omgeving; - waar je als bedrijf invloed op kan uitoefenen.
Met behulp van de STEEP-methode (zie figuur 7.1 op p. 267) kun je de macro omgeving
onderverdelen in de 5 volgende onderdelen (lees per onderdeel alle theorie vanaf p. 271)

De analyse zelf bestaat uit de volgende 4 stadia:
1. Scanning en monitoring;
Assessing the relevance and importance;

4. Assessing the potential impact.
Wat wordt er met de STEEP-analyse geanalyseerd?
The internal parts of an organization;
An organization’s markets;
The industry in which the organization competes.
Een STEEP-analyse is niet gemakkelijk, maar wel belangrijk omdat het:
Het specifieke context bevat;
Tijd specifiek is;
Gebaseerd op een oordeel;
Gefocust is op de toekomst.
Voor de heren Ginter en Duncan (1990) bestaat een macro-omgeving analyse echter uit de volgende
stappen:
