Aanleiding/casus
Een man van 25 jaar met spondylitis ankylopoetica kwam in mijn praktijk. Hij is doorwezen door de
huisarts. Tijdens het uitvoeren van zijn sport, handbal, merkt hij dat zijn conditie hard achteruit gaat
terwijl het aantal trainingsuren hetzelfde blijft.
Patiënt geïdentificeerde problemen: snel buiten adem, pijnklachten in de onderrug bij lang zitten en
staan (lumbaal laag) en vooral in de ochtendstijfheid.
Zijn trainer kon niet direct een verklaring geven voor deze terugval. Zijn vraag aan mij is dan ook of ik
hem kan helpen?
