Loopbaan en burgerschap – onderdeel burgerschap.Vraag 1:
Wereldburgerschap gaat over solidariteit, medemenselijkheid, eerlijke verdeling van
welvaart, gezondheid, rechten en kansen op internationaal niveau. Het gaat erom dat we
niet alleen kijken naar onze eigen omgeving, maar ook naar wat er in de wereld gebeurt en
hoe we elkaar kunnen helpen.
In Nederland hebben we ook te maken met Europees burgerschap. Dat betekent dat we
samenwerken met andere landen in Europa en dat er Europese regels zijn waar we ons aan
moeten houden. Maar soms kan dat ook problemen veroorzaken.
Een voorbeeld is arbeidsmigratie. Dat betekent dat mensen uit andere Europese landen naar
Nederland komen om te werken. Dit kan een probleem zijn omdat er dan meer concurrentie
is op de arbeidsmarkt. Ook kan het zijn dat er taalproblemen ontstaan op het werk omdat
mensen uit andere landen misschien niet goed Nederlands spreken.
Dit probleem is ontstaan doordat Nederland lid is van de EU. Dat betekent dat er vrij verkeer
van personen is tussen de landen van de EU. Hierdoor kunnen mensen makkelijker in een
ander land gaan werken. Een ander argument is dat er Europese regels zijn over bijvoorbeeld
het minimumloon en arbeidsomstandigheden, die ervoor zorgen dat mensen uit andere
landen ook in Nederland mogen werken.
