• De context is de totale omgeving waarin van de cliënt waarin betekenis wordt gegeven aan
gevoelens, gedrag, gedachten, situaties, relaties,…
• De context omvat zowel personen, netwerken, organisaties en het ruimer maatschappelijk
kader.
• Een familiaal netwerk. In dit netwerk zijn de betrokken met elkaar verbonden via geboorte,
huwelijk/relatie, ouderschap, siblings, …
• Een sociaal netwerk is een netwerk van mensen die elkaar kennen vanuit een
gemeenschappelijke omgeving bv buurt, school, werk, sportclub.
• Microniveau: gezin, familie, vrienden
• Mesoniveau: school, werk, instelling, buurt
• Macroniveau: maatschappij, cultuur, religie, sociaal-economische status
SDH uitgangspunten =
• Niet enkel de aangemelde cliënt maar ook anderen, waarmee hij/zij een relatie heeft, worden
betrokken in de hulpverlening.
• Inhoud van de hulpverlening zijn de onderlinge relaties.
• SDH helpt om de onderlinge relaties tussen mensen te omschrijven en meer tastbaar te
maken.
• Micro, meso en macro niveau zijn met elkaar verbonden en hebben invloed op elkaar.
• Doel is om het functioneren van het individu in zijn context en/of het systeem te verbeteren.
• Meervoudige partijdigheid
