VerslavingWat is verslaving?
Je kunt verslaafd zijn aan veel verschillende dingen, bijvoorbeeld:
- tabak, alcohol, (andere) drugs
- voeding
- gokken(al dan niet internet)
- pornografie
Als je verslaafd ben je afhankelijk van iets en maak er je misbruik van (veel doen,..). Er
kunnen bij verschillende verslavingen ook sprake zijn van verslavende stoffen:
- stoffen met een belonend karakter, d.w.z. stoffen die je eengoed/aangenaam gevoel
geven (EUFORIE)
- stoffen waar mensen als ze ze eenmaal hebben gehad bij voortduring aan moeten
denken (CRAVING)
- stoffen waar sommige mensen als ze het eenmaal kennen niet meer vanaf kunnen
blijven (CONTROLEVERLIES)

Een verslaving is heel moeilijk te genezen want het is een erge aandoening in veel vlakken:
een neurobiologische aandoening, een progressieve aandoening, een
ontwikkelingsstoornis, een (multi)genetische omgevingsaandoening

Tabak – historiek
tabak is al heel vroeg geteeld → in Zuid-Amerika sinds 6000 v.Chr. het werd vroeger gezien
als religieuze, politieke, sociale riten. Het werd bijvoorbeeld veel afgebeeld op schilderijen
enzo. In Europa werd het geïntroduceerd in 16e eeuw door Jean Nicot de Villemain.
Nicotiana tabacum (Linnaeus) werd toen gebruikt als een geneesmiddel tegen de migraine,
maar werd dan ook heel verslavend.
