One member of the group claimed there was no point in them using an internet café, while
a couple others explained that that they don’t have Wi-Fi at home or have a weak
connection. One recalled on when she moved houses last year and had no internet for a few
months so an internet café came in handy. She said she used to go to the library but in there
she wasn’t allowed to eat.
Would you use an E-Café if one was to open in Swansea?
On member said it wasn’t necessary for them because they have resources at home and at college,
another agreed but said they once came in to his local internet cafe when there was a power cut and
he had a deadline the next day and the library was closed down. Another said they would use an
internet café so they can work and eat at the same time as they can not do that in the college library.

What would be your reason to go to an internet café?
One person said they would only go if their Wi-Fi at home was out of order, but they also have the
option to go to the library, or even take their tablet or laptop to a coffee shop that has free Wi-Fi.

have a better and more well known reputation. People argued to the member that brand doesn’t
mean good quality and would visit an internet to use the resources and drink their coffee.

said they like anything sold in Starbucks because of their creativity. A few members said coffee shops
are a waste of money and only drink coffee from home.
How often are you in Liverpool?
Most of the students said they only come to Manchester for college, but on the weekends they
would never come here for leisure because there is nothing to interest them. One member said they
live in Chelsea but still wouldn’t visit the internet café if it was to open near them.
Which town do you normally go to for coffee?
They all said they usually go to kent, however some have had coffee from the coffee shop opposite
the college. One said they don’t go to coffee shops because it is expensive.
What kind of offers and perks do you see a lot in already
existing coffee shops?
They all agreed that free Wi-Fi is a common perk and they would want it in the internet café if it were
to open. One said they like the idea of Starbucks secret menu and would like to see something
similar in this internet café.
What kind of features would you like to see in in the E-café if
it was to open?
They all said free Wi-Fi is a must as well as plenty of seating places as the coffee shop can only hold 4
people that are eating in. They also said that in the internet café the computers should have office
and adobe software's installed on them. One said free printing would be a great feature that could
draw in lots of customers.
