, Current situation
To investigate the current situation within our team, we have compiled a survey. This survey
gave us an insight of the extent to which there are conflict and psychological safety in our
team. The atmosphere within our team has been very pleasant since the day we started. We
all feel safe to tell each other what we think or what like to change in certain situations. to
date, we have not had any conflict or heated discussion with each other. This can mean that
we are still 'too nice' for each other. But it can also mean that we have found a suitable
division of roles within our team. The second, we believe, best tells the truth. Until this
assignment, we have never completed an anonymous survey to confirm this belief. To test
whether psychological safety and conflict are connected, we have measured the following
scales in a survey.

Adjusted Satisfaction with life scale
Our Adjusted Satisfaction with life scale is a 5-item scale designed to measure global
cognitive judgments of one’s life satisfaction (Diener, Emmons, Larsen & Griffin, 1985). We
adjusted this scale to measure the satisfaction with team members. Our team members
score an average of 30 points on this 5-item scale. According to Diener et. al. (1985) this
means the teams can be called ‘Satisfied’. With a minimum of extremely dissatisfied and a
maximum of extremely satisfied.

Scale of Psychologic well-being
The Scale of Psychologic wellbeing by Bradburn (1969) is made up of two components: the
positive affect and the negative affect component. Each component has 5 items. All team
members scored more positive points than negative points. This means the members of the
team personally feel well. This can have a really good effect on the team spirit overall.

Team effectiveness
Khan et. al. (2015) used this scale in order to capture the quality of the implementation of
the founding project. Most of our team members agree with the statements. This means our
team is working very effective, but there still is room for improvement.
