Pearl Harbor = de aanval van Japan op Pearl Harbor op 7/12
Beleg van Leningrad = de mensen hielden de Duitsers 900 dagen op. Het is bezet geraakt.
D-day = operatie overlord (6 juni 1944)
V-bommen = vergeltungsbommen (V1 en V2) door D. Vliegende bommen als wraak voor D-day.
Een brug te ver = de Rijnbrug in Arnhem
Hongerwinter = de winter in N-Nederland
Ardennenoffensief = de poging van de Duitsers om toch nog iets te doen
V-day = Victory Day 8 mei 1945
Hiroshima = Atoombom door Amerika op Japan.
3. SINT – NIKLAAS TIJDENS WOII
10 mei 1940 : D valt B binnen. 20 mei 1940: D valt Sint-Niklaas binnen.
