3.1 Diversiteit als normaliteit
Sierens: Diversiteit vaak beschouwd als abnormaal gegeven
o Alles wat afwijk v/d norm = ‘diversiteit’
Mensen zien zichzelf als normaal/standaard
o Anderen/afwijken v. standaard --> gecategoriseerd onder 1 kenmerk
‘Doelgroep’ (bv. migrant, homo, kansarme, …)
Diversiteit = Aanwezig in verschillende contexten

o Onveranderbare verschillen (aangeboren)

Vb. interesses, kledingstijl, vaardigheden, …
o Zichtbare verschillen
Vb. sekse, leeftijd, huidskleur, …
o Onzichtbare verschillen
Vb. seksule voorkeur, cultuur, economische status, leertempo, …
Verschillen binnen klascontext:
o Competenties
Vb. ene lln is sterk in samenwerken, de ander werkt beter alleen; die lln denkt
creatief terwijl de ander analystisch denkt.
o Interesses
Vb. ene lln heeft sterke interesse in hoe mensen omgaan/interacties/relaties, de
andere heeft interesse in economie of verschillende talen.
o Leervoorkeuren & leertempo
Vb. ene lln leert door ervaren/op ontdekking, de ander leert door observeren, … .
