De studie van de menselijke interactie in groepen.
WAT DOEN SOCIOLOGEN?
Sociologen kijken naar de omgeving. Zij verdiepen zich in sociologische theorieën en gebruiken die als kaders om het
sociale leven te verklaren.
WAAROM IS SOCIOLOGIE BELANGRIJK IN HET SOCIALE WERKVELD?
-‐ Het geeft kennis van de mens in zijn sociale omgeving.
-‐ Het geeft kennis over maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen.
-‐ De sociale positie van de cliënt is mede de oorzaak van de situatie waarin hij/zij zich bevind.
-‐ Beter hulpverlenen.
Waarden: Met anderen gedeelde veronderstelling van wat goed is en daardoor nastrevenswaardig.
Bijvoorbeeld: Eerlijkheid, beleefdheid, behulpzaamheid, trouw enz.
Normen: Concrete gedragsregels. Wat je wel en niet moet doen. Komen voort uit een waarde.
Bijvoorbeeld: Niet voordringen is een (ongeschreven) regel die voortkomt uit de waarde geduld.
Internalisering: Het verinnerlijken van normen en waarden.
Socialisatie: Het proces van internalisering.
Macht: Het vermogen om vorm te geven aan de eigen toekomst en de samenleving.
Het vermogen om:
-‐ Doelstellingen in de toekomst te formuleren.
-‐ Daarvoor middelen aan te wenden.
-‐ Via die middelen invloed uit te oefenen.
