Ik heb gekozen voor een kunstenaarspand gelegen
te Brugge in de Korte Vuldersstraat 30
Het huis is op een wandelafstand van de Sint
Salvators kathedraal waar ik zelf vlakbij woon. Er
is enorm veel over dit schiCerend NeoromanEsch
huis te vertellen. Het huis is bovendien ook
erkend als een Unesco wereld erfgoed
monument. Over de geschiedenis van dit huis en Foto van de façade genomen

haar bewoners valt ook veel te vertellen.
GESCHIEDENIS VAN KORTE VULDERSSTRAAT 30
De geschiedenis van Korte Vuldersstraat 30, ook wel
bekend als het atelier van Flori Van Acker,
Is een boeiend verhaal. Dit huis, dat in 1895 werd
gebouwd naar het ontwerp van de Brugse schilder Flori
Van Acker, belichaamt de Neo-romanEsche sEjl die in
Autoportret van Flori
de jaren 1850 tot in de jaren ‘50 opkwam en nauw
Van Acker verbonden was met muziek en literatuur.
Het huis telt drie bouwlagen, waarbij het
gelijkvloers een opmerkelijke mix van
sEjlen herbergt. De ontvangstkamer op
de begane grond is voorzien van een
indrukwekkende schouw, moerbalken
met gebeeldhouwde balksleutels en
prachEg vormgegeven consoles in
goEsche sEjl. Op dezelfde verdieping
bevindt zich ook het Vlaams salon, Foto van het Vlaams salon met de open haard
gekenmerkt door een eikenhouten lambrisering en een
renaissanceschouw met een ingebed schilderij.
Dit huis heeS door de jaren heen verschillende doeleinden gediend
en blijS een boeiend architecturaal en cultureel monument dat de
rijke geschiedenis van de Neo-romanEsche sEjl weerspiegelt.
