1. Onderste extremiteit als geheel
Cingulum membri inferioris:
• twee ossa coxae
• verbonden met het sacrum via het sacroiliacaal gewricht
• met sacrum en symphysis pubica vormt het de bekkenring

2.1. Beenderen van het bekkengordel
Os coxae:
• os ilium
• os ischii
• os pubis
→ komen samen ter hoogte van de Y-vormige epifysairschijf = groeischijf (synchondrose), na
verbening krijgen we een synostose.

, 2.2. Verbindingen van de bekkenbeenderen
Symphysis pubica kenmerk:
• Synchondrose = gewricht waarbij twee beenstukken zijn verbonden door kraakbeen
Gewrichtsvlakken:
• facies symphysialis van het os pubis
• discus interpubicus
Articulatio sacro-iliaca kenmerken:
• gewrichtskapsel: strak, stevig
• gewrichtsbanden: zeer stevig, stabilisatie!
• ROM: weinig beweeglijkheid, behalve bij zwangerschap door het losser worden van de
gewrichtsbanden

, • Ligamenten die het kapsel verstevigen:
o lig. sacroiliaca anteriora
o lig. sacroiliaca interossea
o lig. sacroiliaca posteriora
→ Functie: verhinderen dat het sacrum naar caudaal glijdt.
• Indirecte verstevigingsbanden:
o lig. sacrospinale → foramen ischiadicum majus
o lig. sacrotuberale → foramen ischiadicum minus
o lig. Iliolumbale: van proc. costales L4 en L5 naar de crista iliaca
o Functie: beschermt het lumbosacrale gewricht tegen overbelasting bij buiging en
rotatie
→ Functie: verhinderen van dorsale kantelbeweging van het sacrum rondom een transversale as
• ligamentaire verstevigingen in de omgeving van het bekken:
o lig. longitudinale anterius
o lig. inguinale
o membrana obturatoria: sluit het foramen obturatum af, enkel een kleine opening voor
de doorgang van bloedvaten en zenuwen
