1. De student benoemt de anatomie en biomechanica van de meniscus. (Functie
van de meniscus koppelen aan de stabiliteit)
Menisci (worden samen gehouden door ligamentum transversum genus)
Meniscus lateralis = buitenmeniscus
o Lijkt op een bijna gesloten ring.
o Meer beweeglijk: geen verbinding met lig. collaterale laterale + gewrichtskapsel
o Dikker
Meniscus mediales = binnenmeniscus
o Lijkt op halve maan.
o Minder beweeglijk: de punten waar deze bevestigd is aan het bot liggen verder uit
elkaar + hij is vast verbonden met lig. collaterale mediale + gewrichtskapsel
Hierdoor wordt hij ook vaker beschadigd.

- Menisci naar voren getrokken door meniscopattelaire vezels, deze
worden gerekt door het naar voren verplaatsen van de patella.
- Hierdoor wordt ook lig. Transversum naar voren getrokken.
- Achterhoorn van de meniscus lateralis wordt naar voren getrokken door
spanning van lig.meniscofemorale posterius, dit komt doordat de AKB
op spanning komt.
Flexie knie:
- Meniscus medialis naar achteren getrokken door
m.Semimembranosus die aan achterkant vastzit.
- Voorhoorn meniscus medialis wordt naar achteren getrokken door VKB
vezels die daar aan vastzitten.
- Meniscus lateralis wordt naar achteren getrokken door uitstraling

Indeling voorhoorn en achterhoorn:
- Ter hoogte van Tubercula intercondylarus zijn deze ’’ringen’’
onderbroken.
- De beide hoorns van Meniscus lateralis liggen dichter bij elkaar dan de
medialis.
- Lateralis is O-vormig, Medialis C-vormig
- Menisci zijn verbonden met gewrichtsvlakken van femur en tibia
