Centrale gedacht = menselijk gedrag wordt beheerst door dieper onbewuste krachten
Gehanteerde mensbeeld = eerder pessimistisch

Psychische factoren spelen rol id neurologische ziekteprocessen
Complexe theorie waarbij menselijke geest wordt opgedeeld in 3 compartimenten
