Inleiding:
Om een plan nauwkeurig te kunnen evalueren, wordt er gebruikt gemaakt van een Dose
Volume Histograms (DVH’ s) en hierbij worden de ICRU-richtlijnen gebruikt.
Om dit alles te kunnen, is het van belang dat de student weet wat de uitgangspunten zijn en
wat de criteria zijn waaraan een planning moet voldoen. Deze uitgangspunten en criteria
staan beschreven in Rapport 50 en 62 van de International Commission on Radiation Units
and Measurements (ICRU). Vooral bij vergelijkingen van technieken en resultaten is het van
belang te weten hoe doelvolumes zijn gedefinieerd en hoe dosisvoorschriften en
dosisspecificatie heeft plaatsgevonden. Van dit rapport staan enkele exemplaren in de
bibliotheek. De belangrijkste delen uit dit rapport staan ook in de boeken. Deze taak zal
deels herhaling zijn en deels om de kennis met betrekking tot deze criteria op te frissen.
Doelstelling:
Na deze studietaak is de student in staat:
} Eisen aan een treatment plan volgens de ICRU opnoemen.
} Uitleggen wat isodoselijnen zijn.
} Uitleggen wat een dosisvolume histogram (DVH) is.
} De tolerantiedosis van een kritiek orgaan opzoeken in een tabel.
} Uitleggen waarom zowel isodoselijnen als DVH’s worden gebruikt voor
planevaluatie
} DVH kunnen aflezen.
} DVH statistics kunnen interpreteren.
