The business I am going to write about is Apple. It is an internatonal mobile technology
company that sells mobile devices across the globe. They sell devices like smartphones,
tablets, laptops and desktop computers.

Issues

Recipient sectors Issues
Call centres -One of the issue with a call centre may be a language issue as not
all people may speak the language that the call centres primarily
speak.
-Customers may also be impatent and will not want to wait for a
long tme, meaning that they can get even more frustrated with
the company.
-Apple call centres do not only use normal telephone lines, most of
them use VoIP, meaning that they need internet connecton to
communicate. If the person does not have internet connecton
they would not be able to contact the Apple call centre.
Internet Portals -People may not have internet access, so they would not be able
to communicate with Apples’ support.
-If the internet portal is not updated ofen, the customers will not
be able to fnd soluton to newer problems, and will put more
pressure on other recipient sectors.
Public Access Points -Public Access Points do not have internet access and are very
limited in what they can do.
-There is a diagrammatcal informaton ow used, meaning that
the PAP would follow a certain order to get to the informaton that
the user has requested.
Hand-held devices -Handheld devices have a low batery life, so they don’t last long
and they have to be charged.
-Batery life has an efect on the hardware performance as only a
limited amount of power can be used on certain components, so
handhelds are not as fast in processing informaton.
Transport -There is no relevance with transport, as Apple uses 3rd party
couriers to distribute their products across the globe.
Booking centres -Apple uses their own booking centres, the issue with that can be
the use of hand-held devices as they use the iPhone of the user to
create an appointment, and the problem is again the batery life.
-Another issue is when a person that does not have an iPhone
wants to make an appointment. They won’t be able to do so and
the Apple staf must use another way of making an appointment.
Retail outlets -Issues with retail outlets is that the person needs to physically go
to the Apple store.
-Another issue is that the stock needs to be reflled, so that the
