We can’t live without our cell phones. It’s a fact! How many tmes have you looked at yourphone today? It’s a nice litle device that can help you with almost anything. A lot of teachers
hate mobile phones because they distract their students, but I think it has more pro’s than
cons.
First of, students stay connected with family and friends. The pupils can let their parents
know when they’re running late, or if they got a good grade. The parents won’t be worried
when their kid isn’t home at a certain tme, because they can simply message them and ask
if everything is okay. The students can also keep in touch with each other. They can inform
each other when certain homework has to be done, or if the tmetable has changed all of a
sudden.
Phones can also be used as learning resources. Your phone is not just to play games on, you
could use the calculator app or the agenda that’s installed on it. It can actually be very
helpful. For example, if a student forgets their calculator, they can always use the one on
their phone if it’s really necessary. Students can also use their phone to do research. If they
don’t understand something in their book and the teacher is busy or they’re at home, they
can just look it up on google or fnd educatonal websites about certain topics. A lot of
students don’t want to take their laptops to school because they can be very heavy, but their
cell phone is always at hand.
In conclusion, cell phones can be very useful, especially for students. Whether you need a
calculator, you want to text you mom, or just want to google something, you can always use
your phone. Teachers should keep an eye on them though, because it’s very alluring to play
a game or watch a YouTube video while doing school work.
