De visie van Capabelino op taal
, Bij Capabelino staat de taalontwikkeling van de kinderen hoog op het lijstje. Een goede
ontwikkeling en beheersing van de Nederlandse taal is erg belangrijk voor schoolsucces en
maatschappelijk functioneren. Goed taalonderwijs aan kinderen en jongeren is daarom
essentieel. Een groot deel van leren en ontwikkelen is afankelijk van de taal. De taal vormt
in feite de basis van alle (sociale) communicatie en begint eigenlijk al onmiddellijk na
de geboorte. Het verwerven van woorden biedt kinderen de mogelijkheid tot
begripsvorming en abstractie. De taalontwikkeling wordt sterk beïnvloed door de omgeving
en is essentieel voor processen als denken redeneren en zich iets herinneren. Dit betekent
dat het al op de babygroep van groot belang is dat er regelmatig tegen baby’s wordt
gesproken.
Wij als medewerkers houden de taalontwikkeling van het kind nauwletend in de gaten. Als
zij merken dat het kind hier problemen mee heef of achter loopt wordt samen met ouders
kortgesloten hoe hier mee om gegaan wordt om de ontwikkeling te verbeteren.
Capabelino biedt ook een taalgroep voor kinderen van 2 tot 4 jaar. Binnen deze groep ligt de
nadruk op spelenderwijs leren en met name op de taal. De groep is onder andere in leven
geroepen voor kinderen waarvan de ouders een andere moedertaal hebben dan
Nederlands echter is de groep voor elk kind toegankelijk.
