which will be benefcial such as education, police and leisure/tourism. All of these services are funded by the government and
the department of culture, media and sport (DCMS). Moreover, these services are successful and make proft through the
amount of people who use the certain service.

Private sector

Businesses and industries that aren’t owned or controlled by the government, their main aim is to make a proft which will go
back into the company and beneft them such as Disney and virgin. These companies are controlled by their owners and
measure their success through the proft that has been made from selling their products.

Geographical (e.g. local, regional, national, international, global)

Travel and tourism based local organisations are companies which are in the same or nearby town or city as the customer
but they can also be regional, national, international and global.

Regional organisations are companies which are located in the same region as the customers for example co-op travel as it is
located in many places all over England.

National travel and tourism organisations are the ones that are only located in the UK for example Butlin’s have camps all
across the UK however none which are outbound.

International travel and tourism organisations are located outside of the UK as well as inside, however no further than Europe
for example the national express which travels from the UK e.g. London to places outside such as Spain.

Global travel and tourism organisations are the ones that are known and used globally for example Thomas Cook which sells
holidays to people all around the world.
