El imperio Romano era muy grande y deja de poder
defenderse bien del ataque de otros pueblos. Por eso en 395
d.C Teodosio I divide el imperio en dos para defenderse
mejor.
Imperio romano de occidente (al oeste). Capital Roma.
Imperio romano de oriente (al este). Capital en
Constantinopla.
El imperio Romano de Occidente es invadido por pueblos
germánicos y desaparece. Esto pasa en el año 476 d. C que es
el inicio de la Edad Media.
El imperio Romano de Oriente pasa a llamarse Imperio
bizantino y dura toda la Edad Media, hasta 1453, que es
invadido por los turcos que es una fecha que marca el fin de
la Edad Media.
