P1: Describe the travel and tourism business environment, providing examples of
organisatons
Public sector
The public sector is funded and maintained by the government. The government
building, tourist boards are a part of the public sector. Also many atraccons such as
museums, school, heritage areas, naconal parks and other areas.
Private sector
The private sector are mostly combined of various organisacon which are not owned
or maintained by the government but are owned privately owned by individuals.
Examples of businesses in the private sector are Bricsh airways, Thomas cook,
Ryanair, holiday Inn and even naconal express.
Geographical
Local: a local types of organisacons controls only one branch and is usually a small
company. For example Bright sun travel agency is an independent business in a local
area which provides many deals for the people in the local area who want to travel.
Regional: regional is a type of organisacon which funccons not beyond a part of the
country but controls diferent and various sites which provide the customers with
services. For example Online Regional Travel Group operates local, regional and
ofshore is makes it the biggest Bricsh Isles company (oonline..
Naconal: a naconal organisacon has many branches in a country which operates in
many areas of the country. It may have branches from 20-50 in a country providing
services for the customers. For example Britannia Hotels have 54 hotels all over UK
which gives the best deals for their customers but prices may vary in diferent areas
they operate in.
Internaconal: an internaconal organisacon is a types of business that doesn’t only
operate in one country but have plenty of their branches in more than one country.
They have Internaconal supplier which help them to operate the business without
any trouble.

Global: a global organisacon has their branches and operates all over the world in
diferent parts of the areas. They also have their global suppliers in the country that
the business operates in.
