5.1, werken als pedagogisch werken
Pedagogiek is ook wel een ander woord voor opvoedkunde. Het richt zich op de opvang en
opvoeding van de kinderen en jongeren.
De pedagogisch werkers zijn de mensen die kinderen jongeren een veilige omgeving bieden
en ze stimuleren om zich te ontwikkelen. Een pedagogisch medewerker is vaak werkzaam in
onderwijs, kinderdagverblijf of in een organisatie over opvoedings en
ontwikkelingsondersteuning.
Leerlingen tussen 5 en 16 jaar verplichting om naar school te gaan. Jongeren tussen de 16 en
18 hebben een kwalificatieplicht. In Nederland geldt een verlengde leerplichtigheid voor
scholieren en studenten. De kwalificatie houdt in dat jongeren naar school moeten totdat zij
een startkwalificatie hebben.
Kinderen die opvoedings- en ontwikkelings ondersteuning nodig hebben. Kinderen met
specifieke behoefte worden ondersteund door organisaties die dit betalen.
