Fina deadline: 20/04/2018
Wiktoria Pasiecnzy
Task 2 (M2 and D1):
In this task I will be analysing how my TUI’s product and services meet their customer target
audience needs and expectatonss Furthermore, I will be also recommending how the tour operator
can expand their range of products and services to appeal to a larger amount of customers
TUI is a very large and popular tour
operator that operates very well across
the UK and has got many trusted
customerss They ofer a wide range of
product and services to their large
target markets they target in esgs
families, couples, or the elderly travellers all in as the company cooperated horizontally it is
integrated with the tour operator First Choice which merged together from TUIs The tour operator
First Choice specialises in all-inclusive and on TUIS ofcial website wwwstuiscosuk its says in the
upper corner that ‘everything is paid for upfront on all-inclusive holidays We are taking meals, drinks
and entertainments So, not only it is easier to budget before you go, but when you get there you can
relax and get on with the important bit-enjoying yourselfs’
Thomson and First choice ofer a traditonal family all-inclusive holidays to destnaton around
Europe, they target families because it is much easier for them to go on an all-inclusive holiday and
more comfortables For example, when at a hotel parents want to relax by the beach or swimming
pool they don’t want their kids to keep coming to them interruptng and pestering them up because
they are hungry or they want a drink or a snack, if a family has an all-inclusive holiday it will
automatcally allow their kids to go up by themselves to the bufet area and pick things they want
without having to handle any money as it this type of service will be automatcally incudes in their
all-inclusive hotel bookings They also ofer hotels and accommodaton places that are specifcally
designed for families for example apartments, or hotels that are located in an area where there are
many child-friendly visitor atractons such as theme parks or water parks the hotel may have a
tennis table or a swimming pool to meet family’s needss Thompson ofers accommodaton that ofer
family rooms and family entertainment while being on a holiday toos (Thomson for example ofer a
Disney holiday where families can either travel to Florida Disneyland or Paris Disneyland and fully
accommodaton and atracton will be included in the holiday)s
Thomson tour operator which is part of the TUI group ofers city breaks to short and long-haul
destnaton worldwide such as USA (LAAS gegas, New YAork), Europe (Portugal, Spain) or Asia
(Bangkok, Hong Kong)s Thomson is ofering fights with other leading airlines such as Britsh Airways
which give the customer more fexibility on when and where they want to fy tos The tour operator
also ofers more choice over the duraton of the stay esgs from 3 to 14 nightss All city breaks holiday
packages include an airport meet-and great, transfers and 24-hour support via Thomson Holiday
lines For example, they ofer a city breaks to Cape Town where customers can choose a stay from 4
to 10 nights with a tour around safaris, wine tastng and dramatc scenery to sees These types of
holiday are mostly targeted to couples’ customers or individuals with no children as children are
rather not interested in site-seeing and are not allowed sot wine taste for examples Children are
more interested in actvites and entrainment such as waterparks, theme parks or sport actvites and
