usinn examples for diferent types of audience.

Audience requirements

Audience requirements are the needs of the people that are looking at your business informatonn Age is
one the of the most important things in audience requirements, as diferent audiences of diferent ages
have diferent atenton spansn In additon to that, all businesses must make sure that they are using
appropriate language as older people might not be able to understand business termsn Also, people
might not be able to understand the language that business is using to communicate, therefore business
must make sure that informaton is not going to be lost in translatonn ormally, younger people may
have a shorter atenton span than an older personn This means that the way business informaton is
presented must be appropriate to audience requirements and should target a specifc group in order to
reach the audiencen

Methods of writen communicaton

There are diferent methods of writen communicaton available that are used to communicate with the
person in order to give him/her informatonn

 Leter - A leter is a form of communicaton that is used in order to communicate with peoplen
Generally, leters are sent by post to the receivern A leter is paper writen work and sometmes
there are some delays in receiving the postn Therefore, using leters is not the best way to
communicate with the receiver, as it takes tme to receive the postn

 Memorandum – A memorandum is a way of communicatng informaton inside the same
organizatonn Therefore, a memorandum is an internal source of informaton that is used to
communicate things that happen inside the businessn

 Fax – Faxing is another way to communicate through the writen formn A fax is a scanned
document that is sent through the telephone line to a recipientn This form is actually one of the
best ways to communicate an original piece of writen business informaton, as the document
can be sent straight awayn This way is an electronic method that could possibly be used in order
to send some informaton abroad to someone who has no internetn

 Flow charts – A fow chart is a diagram that is used to communicate factsn A simple fow chart
can be either used internally or externally in order to simplify the informaton in a shorter formn

 Email – Email is normally used to communicate a shorter message; however, some fles can be
atached as welln This means that an organizaton would use email to communicate with their
workers and employees can contact a member of staf from any part of a worldn Therefore, this
is the best way to communicate by writen form in a short period of tmen

 Invoice and SMS (short message service) – An invoice is used inside the business in order to see
how much the owner of a business owes to suppliers or other organisatonsn Invoices can be
sent electronically by email; Invoices are mostly produced by other organisatons or individuals
external to the company and indicate money that is owed externallyn SMS is known world wide
