1 Translate the following text about changes in family sizes in Türkiye from Turkish
into English.
Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’nun verilerine göre, aile birliği toplumsal yapıda giderek
küçülüyor. Kuruluş tarafından son paylaşılan bilgiler önceki yıllarla karşılaştırıldığında
bu değişiklikler daha net bir şekilde ortaya çıkıyor. Son senelerde en büyük artış tek
yaşayanların sayısında oldu. İki kişiden oluşan hanelerin oranının artmasına karşın,
beş veya daha fazla kişinin yaşadığı hane sayısında önemli azalma oldu.
Çocuksuz çiftlerden oluşan hanelerin sayısı yüzde 50’den fazla arttı. Ebeveynler
sadece iyi yetiştirebildikleri kadar çocuk sahibi olmak istiyorlar, çünkü evdeki insan
sayısındaki artış maddi bir sorumluluk getiriyor. Bu nedenden dolayı daha küçük
konutlara talep duyuluyor. Yalnız yaşamayı tercih eden ve çocuk sahibi olmaktan
kaçınanlar yüzünden toplum bireyleri yalnızlaşıyor.
