Hoe vangt de plant signalen op?

Signalen worden opgevangen door receptoren, deze zijn specifiek naar een
ligand of signaalmolecuul. Daarna vind transductie plaats, de stoffen die worden
gemaakt door de receptoren na het opvangen van de liganden. Daarna vind de
reactie plaats, deze is specifiek op het signaal van de receptor. Hormonen dienen
voor gen expressie, cel indeling en groei. Cellen zonder receptoren geven geen
reactie op hormonen voor deze receptoren. Hormonen zetten een reactie in gang
die invloed kan hebben op veel moleculen. Fosforylering is het doorgeven van
fosfor groepen om een reactie te geven op een hormoon. Second Messenger is
een extra signaal molecuul binnen de cel die vrijgegeven wordt door de receptor
wanneer deze bindt met een hormoon.

is het reageren van de plant op de afwezigheid van zonlicht waardoor de plant
richting het licht gaat groeien door bijvoorbeeld het verlengen van de stengel of
chlorose, dit is het verminderen van de chloroplasten in de cellen van de plant.

gebruikt voor de bloei.
