Introduction
In this task I will demonstrate understanding of the importance of complying
with consumer legislaton and explaining the role of the resources manager in
Stockport College.
Planning usage: requirements and suitability; previous trends and
developments; meetng organisatonal objectvess policies and
procedures; level of authority; contngency planning
Planning usage of the resources:
It is important to plan how the college use its spaces building and facilitess materialss energy
and ensuring we use them profciently and efectvely.
This could include factors like how well the rooms are being useds if there are enough
computers and space for every individuals how many rooms and how much energy and gas is
wasted. This should be possible by considering changes in waters gas and power every
month and so on.
Each months the reading device in the college has to check the gas electric and wasters and
check how much is begin used during the months. This can help to:
Identfy problems; the rises in the water meter may imply that there is a break
somewhere in the college system.
Estmatng bills to avoid over costs
Providing any informaton which is required by the law.
Requirements and suitability: as long the college runnings the college needs building and
facilites in order to meet the needs of the students.
The college require more tables and chairs the canteen are as this year there were more
people apply for Stockport colleges and the canteen is not enough for this high populaton of
people enter the canteen during the day. This could be done by either providing more table
and chairs or by replace the whole tables and chairs in the canteen and fnd a beter and
suitable tables and chairs for the students.
Of the college requirements is provide papers bins in the classess this is suitable for the
college as it will give benefts for the college by reducing the huge amount of papers waste
every year in college. It w would not cost much money and in additon to thats this will be a
good plan of saving money.
