1. Maxilar superior: es un hueso par irregular, cuadrilátero, presenta dos caras una
interna y una externa, es el hueso más importante del viscerocráneo. Se ubica en el
centro de la cara, debajo de hueso frontal y etmoides, se articula con estos huesos y
con el maxilar superior del otro lado, el cigomático o malar, el lagrimal o unguis, el
hueso propio de la nariz, el vómer, la porción horizontal de hueso palatino y el cornete
