1.1.1 De juiste volgorde
Eerst vermenigvuldigen en delen, daarna optellen en afrekken.

1.1.4 Getallenlijn met negatieve getallen
Welk getal ligt precies tussen -5,5 en 2,5 in?

Methode 1:
Het getal dat er precies tussen in ligt is het gemiddelde. (-5,5 + 2,5) : 2 = -1,5

Methode 2:
Het verschil tussen beide getallen op de getallenlijn is 8. Je wilt weten welk getal er precies
tussenin ligt. De helf van 8 is 4. Het getal bij de pijl is -5,5 + 4 = -1,5. Controle: van -1,5 tot
2,5 op de getallenlijn is ook 4.

1.1.7 Product en som
Het product is het resultaat van een vermenigvuldiging. De som is het resultaat van het
optellen van getallen.

Voorbeeld
Het product van 2 getallen is 96 en de som van deze 2 getallen is 22. Welke 2 getallen zijn er
gebruikt?
Ga als volgt te werk: maak een tabel.

De twee getallen zijn dus 6 en 16, want: 6 x 16 = 69 en 6 + 16 = 22

Een kind rekent de volgende som uit op de rekenmachine: 213 : 16 = 13,3125. Je wilt nu
weten hoeveel rest je overhoudt. Je doet dan: 0,3125 x 16 = 5. Het antwoord is dan 13 rest
