I am going to describe the numerous resources that I used for my coursework for unit 4
Development during the life stages. There were many different resources available for me to use
while researching for the tasks. I will write about 3 resources I used to get information in detail.

As a class we were shown a video called ‘’baby it’s you’’ which showed us the development of a child
during its first few years of life, we watched as the baby hit many milestones like crawling, walking
for the first time by himself etc. I found that watching these video clips from Baby it’s you gave me a
better understanding of the development of a child and I was able to physically watch them doing
more tasks for themselves. I chose the resource as my tutor got us to watch the videos during class
and I found them very interesting and informative, I was able to jot down some quick notes during
the video clips of pieces of key information that I could incorporate into my assignment. These video
clips were narrated as the young children did many different things and explored the world. The
videos that I was shown were very valuable for me when it came to completing my task for this unit,
they gave me a clearer understanding of the milestones across a child’s growing up because I was
able to watch for myself what the different children were able to achieve as they went through the
different stages. I feel that these videos contributed to me achieving the criteria for unit 4.
My tutor for Unit 4 handed out lots of informative booklets which helped me a lot with my
coursework for my assignment. My tutor comes from a nursing background so she had a lot of
information about the development through the life stages which I found very helpful, her
information was factual so I could use it without having doubts if it was truthful and reliable or not.
Since my tutor has a lot of knowledge about the unit from her nursing background I was able to ask
her questions and note down what information she was telling me. Useful information was placed
on Blackboard by my tutor on class notes to help me with my coursework also. I felt that my tutor
Geraldine had a lot of knowledge from her nursing degree that she was able to share with the class
about the different life stages and was able to answer any questions that a class member had about
the unit which was very helpful. Since my tutor was able to provide me with so much helpful
information for this task I was able to write up my task to a very good standard because of the
information and notes I was able to receive from my tutor, her nursing background helped a lot as
the information that she was able to share with the class was from an educated professional
background so I knew what she was sharing with us was reliable information and that’s what made
her very valuable for my unit 4 task and therefore contributed a lot to me achieving the criteria.
I was able to use the internet to research for my task. This resource was very helpful for me when
doing my development through the life stages coursework because there was lots of relevant
information on many sites that I was able to read and then write about. I used the search engine:
Google to search for the information I was looking for, I think Google and other search engines like
