scans can be Disk clean-ups of unwanted files, Disk defragmentation, Virus and spyware
scans, start-up performance checks and checking for new driver updates . All of these tasks
are important to keep the computer running at its optimum performance level and to
ensure that the users information is kept safe and secure the virus scanning is particularly
important in this case to make sure that the computer is not infected. Viruses can have a
serious impact on a computer performance and can considerably slow down a system by
using the computers resources secretly in the background without the user knowing and
also stealing their data.
Cleaning of temporary files and unwanted registry files I use ccleaner this is a free program
although they do offer a paid version which has more features.
