Parliament are the supreme law makers of in the UK. In What does parliament do?
Parliament there are two houses. The houses are House of
Commons and House of Lords. The laws which are made by The main role of Parliament is too make new laws and
parliament are called act of law. When we vote we elect our change existing laws. While making the laws the
new prime minister every 5 years, the party which wins gets government has to debate the laws. They also check and
to sit in the house with its government. The winner is the approve government spending.

The doctrine of Parliamentary Sovereignty it makes the
government the supreme legal authority within the UK.
They can therefore create and end any law, the court
cannot have a say its legislation. No Parliament can put in
law that future parliament cannot make laws or change
laws.
In the House of Commons, MPS sit there. MPS are Members
of Parliament and there are 650 Members of Parliament
sitting in the House of Commons. The Government sit in the
right of the speaker and the opposition sit left of the
speaker. The speaker in the House of Commons is John
