Welcome to the Teaching Practice TPG1501 module. This examination portfolio must be
completed during the five weeks of compulsory teaching practice. We hope you will find this
module interesting and that it will enrich your teaching career.
You must complete all activities in Grade R with the assistance of your mentor-teacher in a
school where you will do your mandatory teaching practice.

way of communicating with you about teaching and learning and assessment.
You are registered at an Open Distance e-Learning (ODEL) institution where there is no physical
contact with your lecturers. As a result, your studies can be a challenging and lonely journey.

you succeed in your studies. This year, you will be supported through the following:
• study materials posted on the Moodle platform where all assessments are included on
Moodle Announcements. Make sure that you visit the Moodle platform every three days
or more.

with any challenges you face in the module.
• Microsoft teams meetings where you will be expected to book slots on a scheduler on
the Moodle platform to join the live meetings.

• any other communication on the Announcements platform must be read on a regular
basis.
