We accomplish this mission by thoroughly preparing students to be safe, accountable members of the nursing profession who are lifelong learners. Organizing Framework The graduate of Anne Arundel Community College’s Associate of Science Degree in Nursing will be able to demonstrate the following six student learning outcomes through the use of critical thinking within the nursing process framework. Additionally, bio-psycho-social systems (Psycho-social, Sensorimotor, Gas Transport: Cardiac and Respiratory, Nutrition/Regulatory, Elimination: Bowel andBladder, Reproductive, and Protective) are used for organizing curriculum topics. RN Student Learning OutcomesCare Provider Utilize the five steps of the nursing process to determine and provide nursing care that is holistic, systematic, evidence-based, safe and grounded in understanding of thesciences, humanities, cultural diversity and nursing theory. Investigator Analyze data, question assumptions and approach all clients with a curiosity resulting in safe clinical decisions that improve quality of care. Professional Implement one’s role as a professional in ways that reflect integrity, responsibility,ethical practices and an evolving identity as a nurse. Collaborator Collaborate with clients, families and the health care team to provide coordinated carethat is holistic, safe and individualized for multiple clients in diverse health care settings. Anne Arundel Community College RN Curriculum Map/Design/Framework Program Outcomes: “The graduate of AACC’s Associate of Science in Nursing program will be able to demonstrate the following student learning outcomesthrough the roles of care provider, investigator, professional, collaborator, educator and communicator as a member within the profession of nursing.” • The Anne Arundel Community College nursing program will demonstrate evidence of the graduates’ achievement on the licensure exam with a pass rate of at least 92% for all first-time test-takers during the same 12-month period. • The Anne Arundel Community College nursing programwill demonstrate evidence of the graduates’ achievement in 60% completion of the nursing program. • The Anne Arundel Community College nursing program will demonstrate evidence of the graduates’ achievement in job placement in the nursing field of at least 90% within 12 months of graduation. • The Anne Arundel Community College nursing program will demonstrate evidence of the program satisfaction: • 75% of the graduating classreportssatisfaction with the RN program ofstudy at AACC at graduation. • 75% of graduatesreportsatisfaction with performing at RN student learning outcomes level of achievement in employment.
