Histologie: EpithelenDefinitie: Een laag dat bestaat uit aaneengesloten epitheelcellen en dat geen extra/intercellulaire matrix bevat.
Functie: Beschermen van onderliggende weefsels en opname/afgifte van afvalstoffen en het vormen van klieren

Functie Lamina basalis: Hechting, filterfunctie, differentiatie van cellen.
Een epitheelcel bestaat uit een cytoskelet dat stevigheid biedt aan de cellen.
in epitheelcellen = keratine!
Cytoskelet keratine > keratinefilamenten (=intermediaire filamenten)
Immunocytochemie: het kleuren van bepaalde eiwitten om ze zichtbaar te maken in de cel.
Celpolariteit: het feit dat verschillende delen van het epitheel functioneel verschillend zijn.
Gepolariseerde Apicale (naar lumen) Oppervlaktespecialisaties: Microvillii, stereocilliaii, cillia iiien
epitheelcellen flagelleniv.
Lateraal (zijkanten) en zitten Verbindingen: Intercellulairev: occludens, adhaerens, nexus
stevig aan elkaar vast
Basaal (naar basaalmembraanvi) Grenslaag tussen epitheel en onderliggend BW (=lamina propria)
1. (= staafjeszoom) Vingervormige uitsteeksels van 1 μm met functie = oppervlaktevergroting + uitwisseling van
stoffen. Actinefilamenten zijn verantwoordelijk voor het cytoskelet bij de microvilli. Aangehecht aan het “terminaal
web” dat zorgt voor de stevigheid. Glycocalyx = “fuzzy wand” = beschermende wand
2. STATISCH. Functie = oppervlaktevergroting. Ze zijn veel langer en komen niet vaak voor enkel in
bijbal/zintuigen.
3. DYNAMISCH. Functie= slagbeweging. Bestaan uit 2 microtubuli. Axonema: een georganiseerde structuur van 9
doubletten en 1 paar centrale microtubuli. Door de verschuiving van deze microtubuli is deze slagbeweging
mogelijk. Nexine: eiwit dat zorgt voor de ondersteuning door naast elkaar liggende doubletten met elkaar te
verbinden. Dineïne: maakt contact met naburige microtubuli zodat het wandelen mogelijk is voor het afbuigen
van de cillia.
4. Axonema is ook hier aanwezig. Veel ATP aanwezig. (niet zo heel belangrijk om te studeren)
5. Verbindingen TUSSEN cellen met 3 soorten verbindingen:
Macula: ronde/puntvormige verbindingen
Zonula: bandvormig Indeling op basis van vorm!
