, Unit 17 Assignment 2
Develop 2D and 3D digital graphics to meet the clients brief:
Initially this was my first version
of this game cover before
changing it into another
backdrop and character as I
preferred to not to show the
whole background on a game
cover, and the character
placement does not seem to fit
the overall look for the cover.
Design Notes: I edited the
backdrop by adding shades of black
and purple in the background in
order to make the atmosphere
more mysterious and possibly
hazardous, with a mauve shaded
circle on the character as although
a form of protection and lightness
from the protagonist in this eerie
location.

Instead, I used a temple like a corridor to show the inside of the
world of this game as a way create a sense of mystery and intrigue.
This image was found in an already made asset. However, I added
some modifications by liquifying some of the buildings to make
them seem wiggly and unusual, and I added brush vibrance, and
temperature to some areas to enhance more colour. Then I used
Paint 3D to spray some areas of the backdrop to give more
authenticity and as although I created this backdrop
, Unit 17 Assignment 2
Then I added the protagonist
in the right at forefront of the
image as layer using the
editing software Pixlr, adding
few shadows to create the
character’s silhouette, making
it a bit noticeable as seen here.
I decided to add few details like these
portals (orange and blue), these are
essential elements if this game using
“Paint 3D” software, I used similar
assets from the game “Portal 2”.
