company history and examine factors for workforce planning.

Tesco is a british multinational retail business and is a general stock retailer
and the headquarter is located in Hertfordshire, UK. Tesco is the bigggest
retailer in the UK and has over 7,500 stores with over 500,000 employees
across 12 countries included the uk and other countries such as poland,
slovakia, ireland, india, hungary thailand and turkey. The business was
founded in 1919 when jack cohen started selling additional groceries fro; a
stall in brixton, london. Jack cohen made a profit of £1 from sales of £4 and
the business became visible in 5 years and then later within 1924 when jack
cohen bought a shipment of tea from Mr. T.E Stockwell.

the skills, knowledge and number of employees to their current and future
needs in order to work out these needs they will have to review the current
needs and skills in their employees. Tesco has a workforce planning which
involves appraisals every 3 months so that they can meet the needs of staff.
