Metamorfose=Gedaanteverwisseling. Tijdens metamorfose veranderd
lichaamsbouw en leefwijze
Lieveheersbeestje begint levenscyclus als eitje.
Uit eitje komt een Larve. Die heeft geen vleugels en eet ander voedsel.
Voor hij volwassen wordt, ondergaat de larve een Metamorfose.
Tijdens de metamorfose veranderen de lichaamsbouw en de leefwijze.

Vlinders doorlopen in hun levenscyclus vier stadia

Deze vier stadia zie je ook bij andere insecten.
Levenscyclus van een koolwitje (vlinder):
Een koolwitje legt eieren op koolbladeren
Uit ei komt larve. Larve van vlinder is een rups. Rups eet koolbladeren.
Rups hebben om hun lichaam heen een pantser dat lichaam beschermt
Pantser kan niet groeien dus vervelt hij een paar keer. Daarbij barst
pantser open en komt de rups eruit. Dan groeit ie totdat er een nieuw en
groter pantser is
Rups vormt cocon om zich heen. In de cocon eet de pop niet en groeit
niet. In cocon verandert lichaam van rups in lichaam van vlinder
Uit pop komt vlinder (imago). Vlinder groeit niet.
Kikkers
Bij kikkers komt ook metamorfose voor
Levenscyclus bruine kikker:
Volwassen kikkers paren.
