, Inleiding
Mijn naam is Dana van Hinsbergen en ik studeer pedagogiek aan de HAN te
Nijmegen. Momenteel zit ik in het tweede leerjaar. Op donderdag en vrijdag loop ik
stage bij UniK (in Oostrum) bij de orthopedagogische dagbehandeling. Ik help met
het begeleiden van kinderen van twee tot vijf jaar. Deze kinderen zijn net anders dan
‘normale’ kinderen. Ze kunnen een leerachterstand hebben, een licht verstandelijke
beperking, autisme etc. Per dag zijn er maximaal acht kinderen op de groep en
minimaal twee pedagogen. Het ene kind is er elke dag en het andere kind is er alleen
in de ochtend. Het is bij UniK belangrijk dat er niet te veel wordt verwacht van een
kind. Het kind moet leren, maar wel op zijn/haar eigen tempo.
Wanneer de kinderen bij het vijfde levensjaar aankomen, gaat UniK kijken met de
ouders wat het beste is voor het kind. Gaat het kind naar school, regulier- of speciaal
onderwijs, of gaat het kind naar de dagbesteding.
